ITINERARY
Three Capes Long Weekend - Day 1
Hobart to Tasman Camp

We’ll meet for a gear check and briefing at our Walker Base, located at 164 Murray Street, Hobart, at 8:30am before departing around 9:00am. At base, your guides will assist with organising your daypack and getting you ready for the journey ahead. A few minutes into the trip, we’ll arrive at Brooke Street Pier, where, weather permitting, we’ll board our private vessel, Wild Thing. This 90-minute cruise to Nubeena is filled with spectacular coastal scenery and plenty of great stories along the way. For those who prefer to stay on land, or if conditions aren’t ideal, there’s the option to travel to Nubeena by bus instead. From Nubeena, we’ll regroup and continue by bus to the Remarkable Caves trailhead. You’ll only need a lightweight daypack for this 3-4 hour walk, as larger packs stay behind. As its name suggests, this is a truly remarkable place,an ancient sandstone tunnel carved by the sea. We’ll follow sandy tracks through coastal heath to the Maingon Blowhole, where you can feel the full force of the Southern Ocean crashing through the cliffs. From there, the trail climbs Mt Brown, rewarding you with breathtaking views of Cape Raoul, Cape Pillar and Tasman Island. We then descend to Crescent Bay, joining our private track through to Tasman Camp. Back at camp, enjoy a hot rainwater shower and relax on the deck with a glass of Tasmanian wine or a cool drink while the guides prepare dinner. As the day winds down, gather in the dining room for a delicious meal and the chance to reflect on your shared journey. On a clear night, the stars are nothing short of spectacular. Then, retreat to your comfortable private tent for a well-earned rest.
Approximately 3-4 hours walking

Three Capes Long Weekend - Day 2
Cape Raoul

Wake to the gentle stillness of the Tasmanian wilderness and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee drifting through camp. After a relaxed morning, we lace up our boots for the 5-6 hour return walk to Cape Raoul. We’ll be transferred to the trailhead, with lunch packed in our daypacks, ready to begin the journey. The trail starts with a gradual climb through fragrant eucalypt forest before opening out to reveal the vast Tasman Sea, a view so immense it feels like the edge of the world. From here, the track descends to the Cape Raoul lookout, where on a quiet day you might even hear the distant calls of seals far below. If the weather is kind, we’ll enjoy lunch with sweeping ocean views; if not, there are sheltered spots along the track that make for a peaceful picnic. The return walk is just as rewarding, offering new perspectives and countless photo opportunities. A short transfer brings us back to camp for a restful afternoon, perfect for relaxing on your private deck, soaking in the scenery, or unwinding with a good book in the crisp Tasmanian air. As evening falls, we’ll gather in the dining room for another hearty dinner and a few tall Cape Raoul stories shared among friends.

Three Capes Long Weekend - Day 3
Tasman Arch and Waterfall Bluff

Wake to another hearty breakfast prepared by your guides, the perfect fuel for your final day on the Tasman Peninsula. Today’s walk begins at Tasman Arch, following coastal tracks that wind past striking sedimentary rock formations and out to sweeping ocean views. After about 2.3 kilometres, we reach Waterfall Bay, where a slender waterfall spills dramatically over the sea cliffs into the ocean below. Here, you can choose to turn back or continue a little further to Waterfall Bluff for even more spectacular coastal scenery. By early afternoon, we’ll be back on the bus, heading to a local vineyard for a well-earned, all-inclusive lunch and wine tasting, a relaxed and delicious way to celebrate the journey we’ve shared. After lunch, we make our easy return to Hobart, with hotel drop-offs around 4:45pm (or airport transfers between 4:15–4:30pm). Then again, you might find the Three Capes Long Weekend has cast its spell, and decide to linger a little longer, discovering the region’s cosy oceanfront stays, whiskies, lavender fields, and uncrowded beaches.
