Anna Craye organized a terrific tour in Australia for me. EOS by SkyCity Hotel in Adelaide incredible. Tours to Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale great. The Penfolds wine dinner on harbor cruise amazing
The AAT Kings tours in Cairns great.
Bravo to Anna Craye for her support! Best travel agent ever!
Snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef.
Relaxing in Palm Cove
River transit in Brisbane
Manly Beach in Sydney.
Hunter Valley wine tour.
Koalas in the wild.
Wine tour in Hunter valley was great, but the tour bus originated in Sydney, and was 1 hour late. Recommend booking local provider for people already in Hunter Valley.
Beach 4 x 4 with scary surprise climb up the sheer rocky hill and then dune bashing - stunning!!! đ€©
Beds mostly great.
Nope! It was all great, Meg, we said several times what a superb job you did!! The car was perfect too. Having Apple CarPlay took the stress out of our âwhere are we??â moments!!
Our whole holiday was meticulously planned so we didnât need to worry about a thing. We particularly loved Stanley, Cradle mountain and Coles bay. Our accomodation in Stanley was amazing with a great view of the Nut and the ocean. The Ship Inn was beautiful, luxurious accomodation. I particularly enjoyed sipping on the sparkling wine that I was able to purchase from the mini bar whilst watching ocean views from the verandah. The stand out for me was Coles Bay, the accomodation at Edge of the Bay resort was right on the beach front. The views were absolutely spectacular! It was a really special place.
The whole trip was pretty good boat trips were great and learning the history . Starting at the Chancellor was a good way to start the trip and getting rental car a short taxi ride away .Stanley was great and had meal at pub and on chairlift . Strahan was worth the trip in along with boat trip pity we unable to get 2 nights there .Burnie okay , maybe if accommodation was down towards coast instead the working port , Hotel appears to be geared up for workers in the area.
Accommodation highlight was the Hotel Vera in Ballarat. Food bed hosts aircon - it was all very good. Luxury as far as we were concerned. Experiences Melbourne - Jazz in a local pub, are galleries Melbourne Museum, eating out, trams for convenience, The Book of Mormon show.
The Great Ocean road trip - Pinnacles viewing
Very pleased that we used your services overall. We would do it all again. Thanks Chris
It was a fantastic trip, with so many memorable experiences. It is hard to pick a favourite as they were all amazing in different ways. From bush walks and wine tours, to boat trips and 4WD island tours; every experience IAT organised for us was brilliant!!
Anna took the time to understand what we were hoping to get out of our trip and selected appropriate accommodation, tours and experiences to make our trip a great success.
We also found the assistance and support during our trip very helpful, especially when arrangements had to be changed due to unforeseen circumstances. The app was very easy to use, had relevant information for our whole itinerary, and meant we could easily contact the team at any time.
The recommended full day in Launceston before the trip was great. The first five days were spent in my "happy place" the sea and bush while the second four days plus a full day in Hobart were spent discovering and learning. My favourite experience? a gentle dance with giant kelp at the end of the Tessellated Pavement near the Lufra Beachside Hotel
Our guide, John Scammell, was friendly, knowledgeable (and willing to share information), exceptionally helpful and had a great sense of humour. The trip provided a wide range of things to see and experience. A geat holiday, thank you.
Strahan & Cradle Mountain for scenery, & warm wood fires at Cradle Mtn accomodation.
Feeding Tasmanian Devils & Quolls was interesting. Our tour guide, Liz, was amazing & coach driver, Adrian, was great. Loved the small cruises that were included. Vegan food was mostly ok but most places restaurants need to learn about vegan protein & making a wholesome plant-based meal, nothing fancy. Best lunches were at Hydro Elec Corp Cafe near Strahan, a Budda Bowl, really yummy and the wraps at Brickendon. Best dinner was the chickpea schnitzel with broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, roast potatoes & salad at Eastcoaster Tasmania, Freycinet. It was a wholesome meal with protein & really good vegetables. All of our lovely group said how good it was to get a plain wholesome meal. Worse accomodation & dinner was at Iron Creek Bay Farm. The accomodation was separate pavilions that were very small & dark inside & too far away from restaurant. When I asked for soy milk in our room the reception told me that I would have to get it from the restaurant!! All other accomodations brought it to our room when I requested. Dinner was charcoaled(burnt tasting) broccoli, which I couldnât eat, then main meal of only a small square of pumpkin with small onion & seeds on top. Other guests got a meal of good meat or fish protein & lots of broccoli or asparagus while us vegans got no protein & very little vegetable. Some of our lovely fellow travellers gave us some of their green vegetables!! Both of us were hungry afterwards. Next mornings breakfast was cereal & some very unripe fruit: plums, pears, apples, which no one could eat as too hard & tart. Most of our group just wanted wholesome food & especially bananas at breakfast, which were supplied at most places. Our last dinner at Mures in Hobart was also a disappointment. The entree of beets & walnuts was good but main meal of pasta was very plain & tasteless. It had a few bits of broccoli, mushrooms & small amount of cashew cheese but the pasta was dry & needed a sauce. A salad would have been good. Grand Chancellor in Hobart were amazing & supplied us with a jug of soy milk every day, in our room. Very lovely location & good rooms. Experience with Tasmanian scenery, tour guide & driver & group travellers was awesome. Just the vegan food not adequate in most places.
Thanks Sophie for picking us a really interesting trip around Tasmania. Liz, our tour guide, & Adrian, our driver were wonderful.
My favorite experience was watching my husband pet and feed a mom kangaroo who had a joey feeding from her pouch. He turned around with such a grin of joy.
We had a couple of small glitches in our tour but the in-country service was exceptional. Some one always answered the phone, worked through the problem and had us happily on our way within an hour or less.
Really enjoyed tour to Tasman Peninsula.
The Adina was amazing! Wish we could have stayed there longer
This has been our 4th time using this tour group for both New Zealand and Australia and have never been disappointed. Chris was very helpful and patient in helping us choose an itinerary. I am so glad we chose to go to Tasmania as this place was amazing. We are already thinking about going back!
Was a great challenge with great accomodation and friendly staff.
Sophie organised everything perfectly from start to finish.
Thanks for finding us a great adventure
Walking on Maria island was spectacular. Seeing wallabys, wambats, devils and other animals, some at quite close range was amazing. The forests were also wonderful to be in for several days.
The one thing that I would change is the emphasis in the marketing of the trip. The description makes it seem like a casual stroll on a beach and a lot of eating gourmet food and wine. While the wine and food was excellent, this trip is not just a light walk. Personally, the fact that it was more rigorous than marketed, was a very good thing. My wife and I were looking for the level of hiking that was done, including the hike up the mountain on the third day. But it seemed more strenuous than the marketing implied.
I enjoyed the Ghan trip most even with canceled events due to rain and flooding. My two other tours were also great. Rachel, outr tour guide on Intrepid was probably the best tour guide I have ever had. I really enjoyed the scenery on the Great Ocean Road Tour. My hotels have all be very nice and my private transfers where I needed them were all on time and we'll run. I enjoyed the Great Barrier reef trips and the Kuranda Scenic Railway and goldola tour.
Manon did an excellent job accommodating me any time I wanted to change something or add a person to my tour. Where my tours were cancelled from the weather she stepped in and got me an alternate tour.
Really enjoyed the trip. Did exactly what it said on the tin. All the accommodation was great too. Iâm still here in the Vibe Hotel in Melbourne. Loved those small towns like Beechworth, Wangaratta and Goulburn.
Just keep up the good work. I liked the friendly, enthusiastic tone of the service.
We enjoyed the whole trip, no one thing was better than another.
Tiabunna Barracks was pure luxury and the hosts were wonderful making sure we had everything we needed.
The travel app is absolutely fantastic, having all the information we needed to make decisions about what extra we might like to see. Having our entry tickets and/or reservation details for activities online was great, not having to worry about losing bits of paper made things so much easier.
The Vibe hotel was perfect and easy access to all places we wanted to go to.
Victor harbour Hotel was very nice with again easy access to places and lovely restaurant.
Some big highlights were visiting Hahndorf German village and seeing the Pandaâs in the zoo.The Popeye boat cruise showed us the beautiful city and History of Adelaide.
We loved Victor Harbour and the Horse drawn tram. A boat ride with the Duck tour we had dolphins swimming alongside our boat and we saw seals on the island.
There were so many highlights.
Thank you Fine Tours as we would never have found these amazing places to visit.
We enjoyed every moment of our holiday. It was planned out perfect for our personal liking. Brilliant.
The best part of our trip was the variety of experiences! Each part of our trip had something different. There was a variety of things to see and do. The inclusion of âdown daysâ was greatly appreciated as it allowed us to relax rather than being on the go all the time.
Our stay at Sea Dragon Resort on Kangaroo Island has to be rated as one of our best ever stays anywhere (we have traveled extensively).
If anything that was originally planned was unavailable an alternate activity was put in place and we were informed immediately.
Great trip! We are older than most of your customers I'm sure. 84 and 82! But we loved every minute of it. We actually saw the sun rise tours (both different) twice and the sunset tours twice at Urulu. So magical. All our tours were very well planned out. All the scheduled pickups were right on time, everyone was incredibly friendly. Every time I texted Jikke, I got a response immediately. Great trip!
There were many highlights. To name a few, the couple of days in the National forest in Tasmania, kangaroo Island, the military museum in Canberra, Steve Irwin's zoo and the helicopter trip over the Great Ocean Road.
The ability to connect by email and get real time help was a huge positive and made a number of those contacts exceedingly valuable especially for example the need to reschedule the kangaroo island experience (which should have been 3 days and dump the ferry crossing and have guests fly each way for a more seamless experience) and the check in that periodically occurred as needed. (another example was the delayed train trip departure from Adelaide)
We enjoyed all of the chosen hotels for the trip (although you did not handle it ,the Park Hyatt in Melbourne was the absolute highlight of any of our stays in Australia or New Zealand and would highly recommend it for folks who can afford the price (especially during the AO) It is now on my top 10 list of all time favorites anywhere in the world we have been.
We (me more than my daughter) consistently travel out of the state where we live or out of the country 3 to 4 months each year. We rarely use travel agents as we are pretty experienced and sophisticated world travelers. For example , I planned and handled all arrangements for for me and my daughter (first time) and 5 other family members (second time) to Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong in what were 35 to 45 day trips. However when we want to something entirely different like our 2 trips to Africa doing 6 to 7 week safaris visiting 5 or 6 different countries in an areas we are not familiar with (and unwilling to "learn as we go") we use travel agents/services like the ones you folks provided for this trip and the New Zealand portion. We have never been to New Zealand and wanted to see different places from our 2 prior trips to Australia. Other than the train trip (every now and then there is just a "dud" no matter how hard one tries to avoid that outcome so I cannot downgrade your services because of that one off event) I was exceedingly pleased with all of your arrangements, your recommendation's of what to see, do and experience in both countries. Your efforts, those of the folks who did the New Zealand portion and your back office team members who I had a number of occasions to interact with were outstanding. THANK YOU!!
Ric and Paige
P.S. Antarctica is the next adventure where we expect to use a travel service for an extended trip . ( We understand a lot of which is by cruise ship but depending on the "jump off" point there might be another 4 to 5 weeks in the locations around the jump off point before boarding the cruise ship for the trip that results in actually stepping feet on this continent (the last of the 7 we have yet to visit) Any recommendations??
